Blackberry leaves  do have a similar overall shape to poison ivy leaves, and leaves-of-three, and both grow as ground vines.

But… blackberry has thorns, all over it! On the stems and even on the leaves.

Whereas poison ivy, for all it nastiness, never, ever has thorns of any kind.

So we can count our blessing on that score.
