A viewer from California sent in this amazing photo of a poison oak vine climbing a redwood tree: he measured the height the vine reached at 184.5 feet tall.

This is certainly among the very tallest poison oak vines in California (which is the only state where climbing poison oak grows.)

One question that comes up is… how does a tree or vine that call get water to go up that high? Capillary action won’t get water that high but the video below explains the complex answer:
