Like many plants, poison ivy leaves tend to be bright red when they first open. But it is sometimes surprising how fast they start to turn green. 

Here we have one new leaf adorned in red, with all its siblings now bright green.

And notice some tiny berries right in the center of the image: poison ivy flowers and turns to berries really fast in spring.
